Bobby Fish Market

Boston, MA

Project Highlights:

LHD rebranded this existing local fish market and applied new brand elements to its exterior signage. The market was named after one of the owner's father, Bobby, who loved to swim so much they called him Fish.

In keeping with things close to the heart, the inspiration for this rebrand stems from the owners' Cape Verdean upbringing. They wanted to honor the vibrant Caribbean culture and diversity of their neighborhood, so we chose bright colors that make their storefront pop and included wooden paneling inspired by fishing boats. The Bobby Fish "B" is also a nod to their favorite baseball team, the Red Sox, and their new Boston home.

LHD worked in conjunction with the City of Boston Department of Neighborhood Development to meet engineering and structural standards and with the proprietor, sign vendors and installation team to unify all design elements.
