Lindsay Hill • Principal + Creative Director
Lindsay is the Principal + Creative Director of Lindsay Hill Design [LHD], a full-service design & communications firm located in Charlestown, Massachusetts. For over 20 years, Lindsay has produced award-winning creative solutions for a wide variety of corporate, nonprofit, and public sector clients. Lindsay’s talent and expertise lie in her ability to portray a client’s corporate culture in a concise, yet creative style. Among LHD’s professional awards are IMCA [Insurance Marketing Communications Assoc.] “Best of Show” award for Liberty Mutual, Inside PR’s CIPRA [Creativity in Public Relations Award] for ConAgra, and SMPS (Society of Marketing Professional Services) national award. A few of Lindsay’s clients include Fidelity Investments, Liberty Mutual, Nestle Corporation, Reebok, StrideRite, L’Oreal, and Neptune Oyster Bar & Restaurant.

Lindsay earned a BS from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics, University of New Hampshire, with a Fine Arts minor. Lindsay is one of three founding professional mentors for the Massachusetts College of Art & Design [MassArt] Continuing Education Program. In addition, she sits on MassArt’s Design Portfolio Review Panel, and instructs various coursework, such as Graphic Design Freelancers Workshop: Effective Client Communications, Advanced Freelancers Workshop, and Introduction to Typography. Lindsay is an active member of her
community as a member of the Charlestown Business Association, a founding member of the Charlestown Mother’s Association, and has worked closely with Boston’s City Mayor to better our public school system.

Christine Amisano • Creative Director
Christine Amisano joins Lindsay Hill Design as Art Director/Project Manager. A design practitioner of 30+ years, Christine has been Principal and Creative Director of Amisano Design for the past 24 years. She holds a BFA from Philadelphia College of Art (University of the Arts) and has been published in “American Corporate Identity 2001,” “Global Corporate Identity 2003” and “Creativity 32.” Her awards include: Sappi, Stora Enso, Crane’s and Beckett Papers, International Engraved Graphics Association, Graphic Arts Industry’s Gallery of Superb Printing and the Annual Admissions Marketing Group. Her passions include creative problem solving and education.

Faith Derderian • Director of Marketing
Faith is an energetic marketing professional with extensive experience in both corporate and entrepreneurial environments. She has worked for Polaroid Corporation, the Timberland Company
and AEW Capital Management, as well as start-up companies. In her marketing management roles, she has gained expertise along the broad spectrum of marketing including marketing strategy and branding, advertising, promotion, direct marketing, collateral materials, trade shows, marketing research, and product packaging. Faith holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University.

Karen Stein • Senior Designer
Karen Stein received her MFA in Design/Visual Communication from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Va. (’07), exploring the dialectic between nature and design. Her work has
been included in Rob Carter’s seminal book on type design, Typographic Design: Form and Communication. Stein received a BA from Boston College (‘96) and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design (‘02). Her work includes print, Web, and environmental design, and she has taught at Virginia Commonwealth University, Clark University,
and at the Museum School.

Brett Fitzgerald • Graphic Designer
Brett is a graduate of Brandeis Universtiy with a BA in economics, as well as an upcoming graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art with a certificate in Graphic Design. In addition to joining Lindsay Hill Design, Brett works as Caddy at the Golf Course of Cape Cod. Brett brings his talent and creativity as versatile team player at Lindsay Hill Design.

Kristy Cavaretta • Graphic Designer
As a designer with a background in media and public relations, Kristy Cavaretta unites creativity and communications. She lends her skills to a diverse range of clients and projects helping to bring creative professionals’ ideas to life and to broadcast their achievements to the world. Kristy has a Bachelors Degree in Visual and Media Arts from Boston’s Emerson College with a focus on Film and Photography, and will soon be receiving a certificate from the Massachusetts College of Art in Graphic Design.

After completing her undergraduate studies Kristy lived and worked in Los Angeles in the film and advertising industries. She has worked along side a number of the industry’s top directors creating pitch materials in written and visual forms. Most recently she served as the Managing Director of boutique Public Relations firm Raging Artists, promoting commercial projects, production companies, directorsand a range of creative artists within the advertising and commercial production communities.

In addition to being a team member at Lindsay Hill Design, Kristy donates her time to helping Boston based non-profit organization Smallbean with their publicity and marketing needs and teaching photography, computer, and interview skills as one of Citizen School’s Citizen Teachers.

We are very selective of the contractors whom we hire, and guarantee that they uphold the same service focus and attention to detail that meets the standards of Lindsay Hill Design. If requested, Lindsay Hill Design will work with a client’s preferred vendor(s). In working with a client’s preferred vendor, we strive to hold your ultimate goals in mind to ensure that the final product surpasses your expectations. Jennifer Smartt • Principal, Smartt Solutions/Boston
Jennifer Smartt brings more than 15 years of experience in public relations and corporate communications. She has developed, directed, and implemented numerous types of public relations programs and has extensive experience in communications and crisis management with consumer packaged goods, non-profit, health and wellness, and retail issues. Prior to starting Smartt Solutions, Jennifer worked on the agency and client side. Her client list includes America On the Move, KaBOOM!, Centrum, Whole Foods Market, Annie’s Home Grown, Hasbro, Braun, Heinz, and Black & Decker, and the Center for Women in Politics and Public Policy at the University of Massachusetts. Formerly she was a strategist for PowerPact, a virtual integrated marketing agency and consulted with Cone Inc., a leading cause-related marketing agency. She also served as Director of Public Relations for Hasbro Interactive. Jennifer has received several industry awards and a Public Relations Society of America Silver Anvil for outstanding media relations results for GI Joe’s 30th Anniversary.

Mary Mihelic • Writer
Mary is an award-winning freelance copywriter whose client list includes Fidelity Investments,
The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, Harvard University, H.P. Hood, Marriott Resorts, Royal Caribbean, The Massachusetts Film Office, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Progress Software, Putnam Investments, Ragged Mountain Ski Resorts, CitiStreet, and State Street Global Advisors. Her advertising agency experience includes Holland Mark Martin, Arnold Advertising, and Cohn Godley Norwood. She has also served as President of the Board of Directors at Rosie’s Place in Boston and is a graduate of Boston College.

Blue Robin is a leading eBusiness infrastructure developer and can design, develop, implement, host, and support eBusiness infrastructures that combine data, voice, and video, utilizing the latest, most advanced hardware and software technology, in diverse operating environments. Blue Robin’s success & growth can be attributed to many factors, namely the solidity of its hosting backbone architecture, its engineering talent delivering cost-effective solutions, and most importantly, its bond with each and every customer—something that can never be replaced. Lindsay Hill Design and Blue Robin have collaborated on various client projects, including Beer Works, Wellesley Free Library, Finnerty Design and others.

John McLaughlin • OneTechIT
John McLaughlin founded One Tech IT in 2009 to build cost effective, high quality web development to Small and Medium sized enterprises. John founded his first Internet business in 1996 which he proceeded to build from an initial two hundred dollar investment into a multi-million dollar company. In 1998, John developed a nationally acclaimed web application to intercept insurance settlements intended for “deadbeat dads” to settle their outstanding child support obligations.

By 2009, the Child Support Lien Network had grown to 30 states recovering over half a billion dollars in support for children. In 2005, John was approached to develop an application for cities manage Healthy Home repair and Lead remediation projects in urban areas. John along with Joanne Po, who now serves as a Project Manager at One Tech, designed and built a complete suite of customizable web applications which One Tech continues to support in the cities of St. Louis (MO), Baltimore (MD), Charleston (SC) and Harris County (TX). In 2009, John sold his company in order to found One Tech and return to his overriding passion: building outstanding web based applications for small to medium sized organizations.

Dave Evans • Digicraft
Digicraft is a one-man consulting firm founded in 1995. A mentor positioned at the intersection of technology, communications and the consumer Internet space. Connected to and inspired by Silicon Valley, guiding companies and individuals alike. Turning the question marks of new media into solutions in a down to earthapproachable way.

On the front lines of emerging communications technologies, absorbing and distilling potential before it meets the masses and translating it for clients to suit their specific needs. Identifying solutions and fostering resources to meet specific project requirements allowing clients to meet their full on-line potential.

Digicraft offers expertise across a spectrum of touch points within the communications and technology field including; strategic planning, product positioning, marketing, fundraising, project management, and revenue generation. Proficiency in technology and marketing allows Digicraft the unique ability to bridge the gap between previously disjointed departments and translate for general management.

Digicraft has grown along side the internet itself, involved with some of the first paid banner ads and award winning websites. We believe understanding where the internet has been helps to foster insight about what it can become.
